Just misses

They spent way too much development talent on creating items to buy such as fancy clothes, clubs, attitudes, etc., and not enough on actual game graphics. Putting is awful. You frequently can't see the hole clearly. The freebe (Wii Sports) that comes with the Wii has better putting graphics than does this program. My husband, an avid golfer, is NOT pleased and would NOT recommend the game to anyone who knows how to play golf.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

Great game and a great price. Fast delivery. Good packaging. My wife and I really enjoy playing the game together.

Tiger Woods Golf 2008

Now here is a really great game. It is fun, it has lots of "side show" games and levels. A lot of courses for the money, good graphics, is actually like physically golfing as far as swinging is concerned. I really like this game. I think the graphics are very good. The swing does seem to stick or something once in a while, but I guess I am just into it for fun, so it hasn't really ruined my day yet. I would recommend it.

Human vs. Human is better

Remember, it's only a game - it's only a game, right!?

Human vs. human play is great! Human vs. virtual player is so-so. How many of you as well as professional golfers will land within 3-5 feet, 90% of the time, from any distance on a chip-shot? Well, the virtual players do. And, if you don't land on the green 90+% of the time within 10-12 feet for birdie, you will not win. Oh yeah, remember, it's only a game.

Let me point out what I consider to be three flaws: 1) the before mentioned above, 2) And most disturbing - is not being able to select a putter when the ball lands between the fairway and the green. Every choice is a wedge. What up wit dat, huh? And 3) until the developers can get it right, the game is not worth $50.00 bucks.

The "behind the scenes" and not so subtle software manipulation determining the outcome and ever so gently helping or hindering your performance hole-after-hole at times is very noticeable; and irritating as &*##. The interface is terrible and confusing. Hint, Apple computer designs great interfaces that don't make you think.

At the end of the day - I think the game is pretty good and lots of fun; but only when playing against another human player.
